Origin of Shiva Tandava Stotram

Origin of Shiva Tandava Stotram : As You know that Ravana was a great devotee of Shiva and there are many stories are prevalent about him. A devotee should not become great, but he was a great devotee. He came to Kailash from all over the south. I want you to imagine walking all the way and started singing the praises of Shiva. He had a dhol which he used to beat and composed 1008 verses, which is called Shiva Tandava Stotram.

During Listen Strotram of Ravana Shiva was happy. Hearing this music, Shiva became very pleased and fascinated. As he sang, slowly Ravana started climbing Kailash from his southern mouth. When Ravana was almost at the top,and his desire to sit near Shiva Place and Shiva was still engrossed in this music, Parvati saw this man climbing up.

There's only room for two people at the top! So Parvati tried to bring Shiva out of her musical fervor. He said, "This man is coming up!" But Shiva was also engrossed in music and poetry. Then finally, Parvati managed to get him out of being fascinated, and when Ravana reached the summit, Shiva pushed him off his feet. Ravana slipped on the south face of Kailash and went down. They say that when he fell down his drum was pulling behind him and he left a groove on the mountain below. If you look to the south, you will see that there is a wedge-like mark in the center that goes straight down.

It is a bit unfair to distinguish or distinguish between one face and the other face of Kailash, but the south face is dear to us because Agastya Muni merged with the south face. It's just a South Indian bias that we like the South face and I think this is the prettiest face! It is definitely the whitest face because there is a lot of snow.

In many ways this is the most intense face but very few people go south. It is far less accessible and involves a more difficult route than the other faces, and only certain types of people go there.
This is real fact of Orgin of Shiv Tandav Stotram.
